Security guard

The security officer is responsible for the prevention, surveillance, and protection of property and people, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as instructions from their superiors. Reception and access control, general surveillance, and site security are also part of their duties. They detect anomalies and intrusions and manage incidents. They also take appropriate protective actions: assisting individuals, assessing situations, and providing first aid (if necessary). The security officer intervenes at the request of authorized personnel or upon the activation of an alarm. When the required intervention exceeds their authority, they notify, or have notified, the appropriate services (or designated individuals) to resolve the situation.
